VISA Power - Go Get It...

I never imagined in wildest of my dreams that what my parents called as madness on a gloomy sunday evening will get so rewarding that i would go on an all expenses paid free trip to Barbados with my wife.

It all started on March 11 2007 with a me surfing internet for some information on world cup related to my work which took me to visa website which ran a picture contest for cricket world cup'07 where one can win all expense paid trip to Barbados. The theme given was to depict spirit of India.

So here I logged off and asked my 8yr old nephew Karaj if he wants to have some fun with paints and digital camera, like most of the kids he loved his uncle's idea (Chachu).

I was well supported by karaj in fuelling fire. He made all efforts to get water colors, brush, cricket pads and tri color ribbon (my idea) were bought at a cost of 30Rs.

So finally the photo session started with all the dress up, my wife laughed, my parents laughed, my brother and his wife laughed at the craziness of both of us and the result is for you to see below.... (This one is the winning photograph although we clicked around 15 different pose.)

This image won the best image award and the first prize by VISA Credit Cards India depicting spirit of India.. The tag line given was "Two generations of cricket watching cricket together"..

It costed me 30 INR to win the trip for two to Barbados.. the sad part was we didn't had passport for karaj ready so he couldn't accompany us and my wife went instead. But we compensated that by bringing lots of chocolates & gifts for him. So, all I want to say is VISA power - go get it.... (Trip blog to follow soon)
